Biography
Abdul Karim GIZZINI, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), where he is a member of the Laboratoire Images, Signaux et Systèmes Intelligents (LISSI) within the TincNET team. His current research focuses on Explainable AI (XAI) for wireless communications and network optimization. Prior to his current role, he served as an R&D Project Manager at SogetiLabs Research and Innovation (part of Capgemini), developing AI-driven solutions for network automation and Quality of Service (QoS) optimization. He also held research and teaching assistant positions (ATER, postdoctoral) at ENSEA (2022) and IMT Nord Europe (2023). Dr. Gizzini earned his Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from CY Cergy Paris Université in 2021. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting researcher at the Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications Systems at TU Dresden. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from the IUL University in Lebanon in 2017 and 2015, with his Master’s thesis conducted in collaboration with the CNRS-L. Moreover, He maintains active research collaboration with IMT Nord Europe - France, the CNRS - Lebanon, New York University Abu Dhabi (NYU) - UAE, the IIndraprastha Institute of Information Technology, IIT-Delhi - India, and the Technical University of Chemnitz - Germany.
